New jobs emerging in SE-Asia
1-2008
Currently formulating an itinerary for a working trip in March. Resorts in Vietnam and China will be the subject matter. More when I know what’s up.

We will be taking a family trip with photo assignments intertwined during May-June 2008.

Weddings, Real Estate and Golf Course Photography engulf most of August and September. We do however enjoy family outings camping and time spent at Pesky, our family ranch in Pescadero, Calif.... ALSO PLEASE SEE MANY NEW GALLERIES ON MY SITE!

More work in Vietnam: A return to SE-Asia Part 5
7-6-07
My Journey of work begins aboard a 5 star classic cruise “the Emeraude” located in Halong bay. I will also shoot three golf courses in Hanoi and eat Cha ca... yummy fish. I then fly to the city of Hue and photograph the luxury resort of La Residence on the Perfume river. After proper time within the city I travel with hired driver to Hoi An, and start work for the impressive Life Heritage Resort. What a beautiful location Hoi An is to shoot. A flight from Danang to Saigon has me working the Caravelle hotel in district one. I meet with family and just like that I’m on my way home.

I’m fairly exhausted but still have time for a two night stay over for more stock of Singapore.

More Nevada: Pyramid Lake and Wadsworth

Packed up the truck with a pregnant wife, two dogs and three cameras and headed north to the spiritual shores of Pyramid lake. What a sunset! great swimming too. An a.m. visit to the east shore was a great way to finish things up.

The Pony Express Territories and a quick trip south to the Ione Valley were rewarded with tequila and steak sandwiches at the Middlegate station. The next day is spent trying to get lost or stuck in one of many Nevada’s canyons/valleys.

We do it right and end the trip at the Bucket of Blood Saloon in Virginia City.

Hang, myself and the dogs shoot the first part of two trips to on I 80. Lovelock is the main focus but other days are spent working our way up to the Oregon border. Unionville is a pleasant surprise, an oasis.

My baby is here in the US of A. A very happy moment. I can’t wait to show her the states and watch and wait as our baby grows inside her. How exciting! We stay the night in SF and spend the next day in the city doing all those things a tourist would do.

I have finally returned from SE-Asia

I return with great images of both Vietnam’s southern coast and islands as well as Cambodia top to bottom. I do not however come home with Hang. Lots of red tape!!!!!!!

I do have other great news...Hang is pregnant, we are going to have a baby!!!

More air miles for Chris: SE-Asia Part 4

New visa, new tickets and more jobs have me flying back to my new home: Vietnam. I will be working in Phu Quoc, Saigon and Mui Ne, this will be my second Tet festival. Other jobs have me traveling to the coastal areas and tropical islands of Cambodia, namely Sihanoukville. A quick stop in the capital Phnom Penh, to see the sites eats some bugs ect, then off to meet Hang in Siem Reap, enjoy some R and R. Also while in Siem Reap I must flock to the great temples of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom. I will also shoot the Phokeethra C.C.... Cambodia’s best golf course.

Another stop in Hong Kong for some stock images and then home (hopefully with Hang).

Stargazing in Tonapah Nevada

The great state of Nevada has so many hidden treasures. On this shoot I find myself on Hwy 95 in the Pioneer Territories. Most of my work keeps me in Tonapah, but I also shoot Goldfield, Ryolite, Hawthorn and Fallon. We are working on the Nevada gallery. Stay tuned.

I’m back in the USA and ready for the holidays

After another great journey through Vietnam and Thailand and Singapore. I’m happy to be home with family. I do miss Hang (my fiancé from Vietnam) but will go back to see her and hopefully bring her home in January 2007. For now it is nose to the grindstone. Look for new Thailand gallery, Singapore gallery and more Japan... Osaka.

The urge to travel takes me once again to one of the most beautiful areas on earth...Southeast Asia. With two stops, in Hawaii to see family and in Osaka, Japan to eat sushi...This trip is sure to be photographically epic. VIETNAM, CAMBODIA, MALAYSIA, and THAILAND are on the menu. Sounds yummy! I stop in Hong Knog for a day to take care of any last minute shopping. Look for some new galleries this fall.

Spring 2007 is shaping up to be potentially very busy. Projects in the works include developers in Chile, Costa Rica, and St. Thomas. I will keep you updated.

Back to Nevada

After returning from Southeast Asia in June I was welcomed back with some healthy assignment work for some large clients. Developers in the Tahoe/Truckee area, a massive development just north of Vegas, and shooting the great state of Nevada for the Nevada Commission on Tourism kept me very busy. Toss in the usual twenty large weddings, and another trip to the Burning Man Festival and you have one tired photographer. There is only one cure, time to travel.

A Return to Southeast Asia

Chris is back on the road mid May shooting Golf Courses, Resorts and Travel images in North Vietnam and Southern Thailand. Return mid June to shoot Golf Courses throughout the Sierra and in Central Oregon. Enjoy the season of Spring.

A Healthy wedding season in Tahoe accompanied with lots of work with the state of Nevada (NCOT Nevada Commission on Tourism) as well as an enjoyable mission to the Burning Man Festival (third appearance). Follow that with a fall journey to Maui the valley isle and of course my fifth venture to Asia takes me to the vibrant city of Hong Kong, shooting the beaches and temples of Thailand, and now absorbing the culture of Vietnam. New galleries will appear in March...
